Restorative Dentistry
We enjoy the challenge of restoring your smile. And thanks to rapid advances in dental technology, there is much more that we can do for our patients these days. Modern ceramic materials combined with the in-depth experience of our clinical team can assure you of an effective & long-lasting result. For example, crowns can be used to replace the top part of a tooth when it has become irreparably damaged but the root is still healthy. On occasions, cavities can become too large for an ordinary filling, so we will suggest an alternative — a ceramic onlay or inlay. These are skillfully made in the laboratory to fit the shape of the cavity & the colour of the surrounding teeth.
Veneers
Veneers are an excellent alternative to crowns & can perfect your smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment & creating uniformity. Veneers, which are made of thin, customized material designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural, are long lasting & are relatively easy to apply.
Porcelain Inlays/Onlays
Porcelain inlays & onlays are an excellent, conservative solution to cavity pain, reduced chewing strength & general degeneration of the back teeth. Virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth, inlays & onlays discreetly restore teeth to an optimal state of health. They resemble natural teeth so closely that only you will know the truth.
Fillings & Crowns
At our office, we offer tooth-colored fillings. Tooth-colored material can be used both as fillings & to repair defects in the teeth. Because they are tooth-colored, it is difficult to distinguish them from natural teeth. These fillings are often used on the front teeth, where a natural appearance is important, & can be used on the back teeth as well, depending on the location & extent of the tooth decay.
Dentures
To increase speaking & chewing ability, we can attach a customized denture to individual implants or a row of implants, securing the denture in place. They look completely natural, are long-lasting & are quite durable.
Dental & Restorative Implants
Dental implants are essentially permanent, attached teeth that replace partials, bridges or dentures. A titanium implant is permanently attached to your bone & a prosthetic tooth (crown) is attached to the implant. Implants are preferred to bridges because they can improve your bite without damaging neighboring teeth (like a bridge might). Treatment can be finished in three to five visits over the space of about four to 12 months.
